Dawn,

I apologize for not contacting you sooner.  I have been so busy with a new puppy and a house full of family here.  Abby is THE perfect puppy!!  You made a BIG mistake by letting her go!!!   She loves everyone---everyone loves her and wants one just like her, but there won't ever be another one just like her.  She is rotten, has been held and stroked ALL during the holidays---but is truly MY little girl!!  She has latched onto me like glue, but is always willing to be held by someone else IF she can't see me!!  She has been SUCH a good little girl.  I've had lots of dogs in my lifetime, but NEVER one that even begins to compare with our Abby!!  She made the trip back to Corsicana very well, but didn't like it of course when we did what you suggested and put her in the other end of the house to sleep.  She is a climber and has surprised us by climbing over many a barricade that we thought we much too high for her.  She will play like mad for a while and then fall over in a dead sleep and you CANNOT wake her up until she gets her nap out!!  She is so funny!!  Her favorite place is on our bed in the morning where she acts like a crazy clown running from one of us to the other.  She has done soooooo well with house training.  I almost called you after the first couple of days because as happy as she seemed, she wasn't eating and drinking near enough.  After that though, she began to eat and drink just fine.  She loves to go in the car, and we take her everywhere that allows precious dogs.  We haven't been able to take her to church yet, but I'm sure she would be VERY good!!  She cries a little less each night, but then she stops and sleeps until about 6:00 or 6:30.  You will never know what joy that she has brought into this house and to this extended family.  She has 3 new dog cousins and has bonded beautifully.  Of course none of them hold a candle to her beauty and sweetness, and all the teenagers and adults wanted to take her home.  She was the star of our family holiday, and she knew it!!  You could just tell that she knew it!!  She is very obedient---MOST of the time.  Once in a while, she'll do something that she has been told no about and cut her eyes over at us like, "Are you gonna let me get by with this THIS time?"  She would even grab her dog cousin's toy (a big boxer) and run the other way!!!  She is a character, for sure!!  Thank you again, Troupes, for having this gorgeous and perfect puppy for us!!  A woman who raises them here saw her and told us that she was "show dog quality".  I told Paul--I knew that already!!  But she if for us to love and spoil--not show!! At one point during the family visit, she got so wound up she was crazy.  I had to literally put her in my arms and rock her in a rocking chair until she settled down--and she did.   She just got too excited, but we are back to normal now--relatives are gone!!  Again, we can't thank you enough for this gorgeous little bundle of joy!!!

Thanks from TX.
